Get Ready for Fall and Winter Weddings

While summer is technically still around, we in the wedding business are already looking forward to and planning for the many fall and winter weddings that are being planned. It may surprise you to know that fall and winter is a very popular time of year to get married. Many people just assume that June is the month to be married, or perhaps around Valentine’s Day. These are certainly still popular months, but people are getting married at all different times of the year nowadays. Perhaps couples assume that getting married in June is too pedestrian or that June is too difficult a month to plan for, or even just more expensive, due to the popularity of it? Perhaps all of the above are true in some way. A recent study actually suggested that September is the #1 month to get married. Why? I’m really not too sure. Maybe it’s popular for young couples who are heading off to college or work in September? Maybe it’s just that September tends to be a less expensive time to get married? With the economy these days, that surely has to be one of the reasons, no?
Regardless of why, there is no doubt that September, October, November and December are quickly gaining in popularity as month to get married.
While spring weddings may be characterized with florals, pastels and printed designs, and summer weddings are ripe with bold and vivid colors, fall and winter also have their own distinctive, even more sophisticated looks.
Fall wedding couples can indulge in deep, rich, warm colors like brown, chocolate, mocha, sienna, burnt orange, light orange, yellows, reds and mixtures of these colors for their Fall Wedding Invitations. Accents can be rich and luxurious golds and bronzes. Winter weddings may be more sparse with color, with black along with many shades of gray and blue.
