Garden Wedding: Tips To A Beautiful One by Dori C
Have you considered the beautiful effect that bright yellow sunflowers might have as part of your garden wedding? Even if sunflowers are not your favorite, a garden wedding is always a lovely choice.
Over the past few years many brides chose to incorporate color, and lots of it, into their weddings. Today’s brides are choosing to return to the traditional by wearing a white wedding gown. The effect, when surrounded by flowers, is simply beautiful.
It makes no difference if you hold your garden wedding in New York’s Central Park, or in a private garden, nature is all around you to inspire and motivate you. But if you want everything to be white, including the flowers, then a garden wedding can still be the answer. The choice of color or no color is yours but remember, no garden wedding is complete without flowers.
It is best not to set your heart on a particular flower for your bridesmaids, bouquet or centerpieces until you know the date of the wedding. This is because, as we all know, flowers are seasonal. So, once you know the date you will know the season and which flowers are available.
Once you have determined the season and the garden that will be the setting for the wedding, you will need to decide on the color scheme. Many summer brides choose to use pink and green as these two colors help to create a wedding that is both stylish and fashionable. Of course, the choice is entirely yours to make.
Although flowers are seasonal you can still have the flowers you want if you are prepared to have them imported. However, this is an expensive option and perhaps not a viable one for the bride who is working within a budget.
Florists and designers are a great resource that you should consult about which flowers are available in any given season. They will be able to advise you where to have flowers imported from, or, alternatively, suggest other flowers instead.
If you are fortunate enough to have a large budget at your disposal then extra expenses such as having flowers imported will not be a problem. For the majority of brides, however, good planning of each aspect of the wedding will ensure that your garden wedding is one you will never forget.
